All of this just has me thinking...what is your opinion?

Some have said that the American Revolution was not a revolution in the clic sense of the term, that unlike the French and Russian Revolutions, the American one did not change, radically, the political or social order, and that any change which did occur was short-lived. Look at America in 1790, they say, and you see that ordinary Americans were no more empowered politically than they were in 1760. Leaving aside the issue of whether a colonial war for independence constitutes a revolution, do you agree or disagree with this ertion?
