I want to be an actor/model... Where should I start?

In two years, I'm going to finish my B.A. in Biology, but I want to start a career in acting/modeling (acting in both theater and in movies and television). Where I live, the industry is very localized and it doesn't really inspire me. I was thinking of moving to L.A. once I graduate (I'm taking both acting courses in my college as electives), but after I get there, where do I start? Will lacking a B.A. in Acting or Theater hurt my chances? Thanks.

I was just sitting down watching tv and all of a sudden I felt intense sharp stabbing pains localized in the uterine area and it came and went every few seconds and lasted for about 30 seconds altogether. How hard do you think it would be to break my lease?

So I live in Nevada and i signed a 6 month lease on this condo in november (its an apartment but since different people own every unit they decided to be fancy and call them condos). We freeze our s off because we don't want to turn on the heater. When we looked at the apartment he said there was the electric ones on the wall as well as a gas one and we need not use the electric. After moving in and realizing there was only the electric (I should of checked I know) we used them and got a $300 power bill for one month. Ok this is the one thing I hate about this apartment but let me tell you the reasons I want out of the lease NOW!! My roommates car was broken into by the neighbors two weeks ago and she has filed a police report because they stole everything. The guy downstairs has quite a few cats and the smell is horrible. People don't want to come to my house because of the smell. It smells by the front door and the balcony and our landlord has tried to take care of this but obviously nothing is being done so whatever. The dishwasher has yet to work since we moved in.. he let the maintenance guys come put in a new one and that one did not work as well. They keep promising to come back and fix it but they haven't. I also keep finding earwigs and ants in my apartment and I cannot stand those. With all of this and if I give my landlord 30 days notice do you think I can get away with breaking the lease? I don't want to have trouble finding another place to live because of this.

What are some things I can do to help me fall asleep?

I normally take about 10 mg of melatonin a night. Also about 100 mg of diphenhydramine HCL (benadryl). Dimehydrinate (dramamine) doesn't do **** and zolpidem (ambien) works makes me see things, which would normally be fun but I don't enjoy seeing things moving and the room spinning while I'm trying to sleep. I just have so much trouble, I might have insomnia and I should probably take meds, but I'm too cheap. I usually get about 3-5 hours a night.

I was in Forte dei Marmi swimming in the sea when I stepped on a fish that then stung me between my toes. The locals called it "Raganella" but when I googled that I found that "raganella" is Italian for Tree Frog. Can anyone tell me the real name for this fish? I went and looked at your stove it is pilot-less and you should have no gas smells , did you replace the flex supply line ? they can get pin holes or damaged moving the stove in and out !also make sure the burner control knobs are off all the way because I had a few where someone brushed against the knob and called me for a gas leak and all it was a partially open valve and those burners need to be in a certain place to light so gas can p and not light . good luck you might have to call sears and tell them your problem and what you have done , we have 210 gas stoves here where I work and never got a bad one from the factory . oh one more thing check your shutoff valve sometimes they get loose and leak too if its there tighten up the nut on top of the handle , had them leak before after disturbing them !

Caulking is definately not the way to go...They make a crack repair mortar based product in regular sized caulking tubes...It works through a caulking gun and is mortar based so it will bond properly..caulking will eventually peel on the edges etc..home depot etc sell this mortar in a tube around 3.00 a tube..

What is the scratching noise I can hear coming from the wall/floor?

Last night I heard a very loud scratching/tearing noise coming from behind my bed. I know there is a gap between the floor boards and skirting on the external wall which I sealed with a piece of MDF when I moved in but the scratching was extremely persistent and didn't seem to be frightened off by any noise I made. It sounded like something was gnawing at the carpet. I live on the first floor of a converted Victorian house so I am surprised if a mouse is living in the gap between my floor and the ceiling below as I can't see how it could get in there and how it could survive. The wall where the gap is is solid brick so I can't see how a mouse could get in there either. There is no evidence of anything having been in my kitchen and I clean my flat regularly and thoroughly. Also the weather has been very warm recently; I thought mice came inside if it was wet or cold. This is the first time I have heard this noise in 18 months of living in my flat. I would be grateful for any feasible explanation!

I really like this car because it gets great gas mileage, and for many other reasons. I had some ideas, like buy a nice steering wheel cover, and I have a cool logo on the rear windshield, etc. but I would like to do a little more. I thought about saving up and buying some nice wheels, something that looks sharp, but they would probably be a lot of money, and I'm not sure if its worth doing that for a LeSabre. I have seen the chrome looking, plastic hubcaps which are obviously less expensive, but I'm wondering if that will just look kind of silly/cheesy on this car. If I were to read this with out knowing what the question was, I would think that the question asked you to write a story about a person you admire. Or if Caroline were still alive, I would think you were trying to get her accepted into a college. Actually this story kind of repeated itself with some other people I had been good friends with in High school too..Anyway the point is that we were able to stay friends, my attitude did not change, and neither did his, it was a bit weird at first, I made it clear that I was straight, and that nothing was going to happen, and after that initial bump things got back to normal. Since school has finished we gradually stopped speaking, but like I said after that initial weirdness we were fine, and how how we acted toward each other remained unchanged. I know they are different situations, but they are also very loosely a little similar.

My husband and I had originally been saying that we wanted to wait until I had a more secure career outlook and we had more money coming in, but now we are suddenly debating just jumping in and going for it even though things aren't 'ideal'. We both have been struck big time with 'baby lust' and I have suddenly realized that we are not getting any younger. My husband is concerned about his age climbing (30 yrs) and I'm realizing that my plan to be 'done with children by age 30' is going downhill fast. We have been talking about this a LOT lately and I have been researching a great deal as well. My husband and I are now wondering if perhaps my not being 'tied down' to a career right now wouldn't be a blessing in disguise in a way. Why am I getting erflies all the time?

Ok, so I have been writing a romance office story thing and it's during the week of exams as well. Every time I turn on my computer I get erflies and when I leave to go home after we finished the exam I get erflies again. Like so bad I feel like crap. I also just figured out my favorite actress is lez so when I think about my story I start thinking about my uality. Which is funny cause I am at a thing of self identification but I'm not lez... I have an issue. My boyfriend has dated my brothers wife. They were 15 years old, but they have kissed and it's just awkward for me. He is almost 29 and I am 26. But I am still having an issue getting over it when they talk and laugh together. She is totally not the type to come onto him or anthing, in fact, she is a real sweetheart. I love her alot, but still I have that jealousy. So here is my issue...My brother (her husband) is a hunter - as well as my boyfriend. Well, my boyfriend is going to take off work on friday and potentially go over to their house (while my brother is at work) and hunt on their property. My issue is, that she is always the type of girl to be very "hospitable". I know that she is going to invite him in the house after his morning hunt to have coffee or something with her. I have a problem with that and I think that it would be inapporpriate if he proceeded to go inside and hang out. (mind you, my brother would be at work). I know it sounds silly because all of this might not even happen. But i am the type that would like to be prepared. Is it weird that this would bother me? Even though I know that nothing would happen if he went inside? It's just the fact that it would bother me and be innapropriate. Please help!

Ruger GP100 or Taurus 608 357 magnum revolver?

Wow, that's tough. I also had this surgery about 5 years ago. My father also had it and I feel he has a problem with alcohol now. See, most of us who have had this surgery found comfort in food. Whatever mood we were in, food helped us get thru it. Reading up on post surgery stories and literature, many people find comfort in another thing. For your mom, now its alcohol. As far as getting her into a detox and rehab, she would have to admit herself or if she threatens to take her life or harm herself then that's when authorities should step in. What would a 1996 Honda Prelude with 240000 miles be worth...?

I think KBB has them very overpriced and wanted to get a second opinion, the car is the standard I believe S coupe, not a V-Tec or anything. It has a 5-speed transmission and the over all body condition is fair to good, mostly because of paint.. HOWEVER the engine is starting to show how many miles it has and is in need of repairs. Right now it is blowing a bit of oil out and was recently repaired. Overall it would be a good first car for me to work on with my dad as well as drive. What has worked best for you with combo of asthma and allergies?

recently I moved to the East Coast and am now having BAD allergies for the first time. My asthma is doing okay though surprisingly. A few months ago I started singulair and advair and that combo has been working great for my asthma. I have been getting really bad sinus congestion and the only thing that helped with some amount of relief was Claritin D. I have had allegra for years but it doesn't work for actual allergies for me. I am actually allergic to the cold-I get hives, so I take allegra for that and when I know I will be around animals a lot. Each person is different though. Try Claritin D. Sometimes nasal sprays work too like Flonase or Nasonex, but those you need prescriptions for. Good luck!

Hi, I'm in the same boat. I take skinfold measurements with the aceasure caliper and I come out at roughly 12% (though I feel more like 10%). My 4 pack is perfectly visible and I have good definition, but I seem to retain quite a bit of water in the lower ab area. A trainer suggested two things to me for shedding that last layer of fat and I'm ping this information to you as food for thought and experimentation: 1) protein powder retains water (according to him). Cut protein supplements for a while and check for differences. 2) You may need to cut down on your carbs more than you think. I'm not necessarily saying full ketosis, but something along the range of 80-100 grams or even less may be necessary. Experiment. Also, I suggest you try dual sessions of cardio within each day for 6 days a week, totaling one month. This could help brake the plateau. One last thing that comes to mind is zig zag your high and low calorie and carb days. I do 3 days low carb and cals and then the fourth day I carb up with 300 grams of carbs and near my TDEE cals (to boost metabolism). i.e. low-carb days: 1900 cals (20% carbs - 50% protein), high carb day: 2400-2500 cals (45-50% carbs - 30-35% protein). I hope I've given you something to play with. Best of luck.

Has anyone else have this problem with their Honda?

Not all the time, but sometimes after I start my Honda and press the gas my RPM's drop and the car goes nowhere for about 2-4 seconds even if i floor the pedal. Once the RPM's do come back I normally don't have a problem the rest of the drive. That is until I start me car again. Lately it has been a 50-75% chance of doing this after I start it. I checked the car with a OBD II and it ped with no problems. What is wrong with my car?

How often do you really pray? Do you praise God and thank him in prayer? Do you pray according to the Bible, meaning take God's will and pray according to it? Do you intercede for others? I admit when I am not praying, my life falls apart and God feels like a million miles away. Truth is, he will never leave me nor forsake me - Hebrews 13:5. I am not hear to say I am better than any other person for God loves everyone, but I feel the Holy Spirit want me to remind people to pray. Asking questions on here doesn't necessarily mean God answers you. But pray to God an he will answer you through the Spirit. We as Christians need to get back to basics and put an emphasis on prayer and turn off the T.V. For prayer isn't about asking God for what we want, but it's also about having a conversation with him. I also feel G-d would want you to own your heart. If marrying a couple is against what you believe then the sin would be yours if you were to agree. If a couple of questionable merit would expect a plausible amount of respect from you, they should be able to give the same in return. The bible defines marriage as the joining together of man and woman. Any church which would allow anything else is not a church of G-d. And any church which would require you to go against your heart is not a church you should consider. Saying this...None of us are free from sin, yet the G-d loves each and everyone of us. The sins you carry from this life are the ones you need to worry about. Not those belonging to others. You need to read more of the bible. You need to open your heart. You need to let Jesus in.

Great question Jon. As someone else mentioned, I think lower weight cles in general don't get the recognition they rightfully deserved. I mean, look at Calderon and Donaire currently. Both are true P4P caliber boxers, but don't get nearly the recognition as Cotto or Sergio Martinez. Villa had a tremendous career and it was cut short at the youthful age of 23, so I think people forget that all his accomplishments were achieved in such a short period of time and if his life wasn't cut short, he could have accomplished so much more. Bert Sugar considered him the greatest Asian boxer of all time, which is unthinkable considering the short career. But as I mentioned, the fact that he fought at the lower weight cles has a lot to do with the amount of recogntion he receives.

I have made the biggest mistake of my life by deciding to move in with my friend and his family following a divorce that costs me almost everything, financially and otherwise. My friend's Mom and Dad have been at each other's throats for years (I fact I did not know before moving in), and it all recently hit the fan when it was discovered that his Mom has been stealing money (and using it for whatever) and not paying the household bills. Since her return she has slowly eased back into her routine, and has not addressed any of the bills she failed to pay (which resulted in the utilities being shut off). My friend's Dad had to pay all the bills down, and clean up her mess. She feels that she did nothing wrong, and walks around the house like she is some type of goddess eating and drinking all day long. From my vantage point my friend's Dad is a coward, and needs to step up to the plate and do something about his wife's behavior. I only care, because all of this affects me. I will be moving out soon, so I will no longer have to deal with their crap. Nonetheless, I just want to know if my friend's Dad is a wuss?

It's possible that the printer's driver has become corrupted and needs to be re-installed. Check the driver out in the "Printers" box in "Control Panel". You printer should be recognized here. If not, then go to the HP support web site and fill in the proper information about your computer to find the correct/updated driver for your HP printer. Make sure you install the driver exactly by the instructions. If you use a usb port to connect printer to processor, make sure you attach the usb cable when told. Hi, i have asthma and recently it has gotten hard to control. im on allegra for the allergies that are causing me to have troubles. i am also on flovent and albuteral. these medications did not stop the problem so my doctor put me on prednisone. we tried to just give me a few doses and then stop it but that did not seem to work. now i am on 60 mg of prednisone and my asthma seems to be much better controlled but the prednisone is causing major bloating. my face is a lot rounder and very large and my whole body is bloated to the point that my pants hurt to on. my ankles are also swollen. i am normally a small 125 lb person but since i started the prednisone 2 weeks ago i have gained 13 lbs of water weight. does anyone have any sugestions? i am exteremly uncomfortable and dont know what to do.

My childhood sounds a lot like this. DO NOT CUT HER HAIR. Trust me, she'll regret it in the future. People die for curly hair, especially long. Go to a salon and have her hair trimmed and LAYERED. This way, the hair will be thinner and not as thick. Also, to untangle her hair all you need is CONDITIONER. After shampooing her hair, she needs to put conditioner from roots to ends and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. After she washes it off, he hair will be very easy to brush. After brushing her hair, you should just blow-dry. DO NOT brush her hair when its dry, thats awful. Use a wide-toothed comb, MUCH easier. Also, if she wants to style her hair, leave-in conditioner or mousse would be the best right before blow-drying. You're-welcome :)

Anyone else having problems with windows explorer restarting for vista when you're in "my doents"?

I have windows vista, which for me has been great aside from a few REALLY annoying things. the biggest problem i have is whenever i open "my doents" (it's just "Doents" on vista) it says windows explorer has stopped working and it restarts. my buddy says he has that problem constantly as well. does anyone know what the deal is with that? is there a way i can fix it? please don't respond saying something unproductive like "don't use vista" or "don't use windows". thanks

so i recently started potty training my son. he is doing remarkably well and is telling me when he needs to go and he goes as soon as i put him on the potty (like within 30 seconds....he doesnt take his time). i am really proud of him cuz he hasnt had one accident since we started. i only have one slight concern....he goes pee and when he finishes i praise him then he needs to go like five minutes after that then ten minutes after that. i noticed that when he goes he goes very very little so i am suspecting that he simply isnt finishing and thats why he needs to go again so soon. i always wait till he is all the way finished before praise so i wont startle him and stop the flow so idk why he is doing this. anyone have any opinions or advice to get him to go all at once, because its beginning to become a waste of water too
