Anyone else having problems with windows explorer restarting for vista when you're in "my doents"?

I have windows vista, which for me has been great aside from a few REALLY annoying things. the biggest problem i have is whenever i open "my doents" (it's just "Doents" on vista) it says windows explorer has stopped working and it restarts. my buddy says he has that problem constantly as well. does anyone know what the deal is with that? is there a way i can fix it? please don't respond saying something unproductive like "don't use vista" or "don't use windows". thanks
