American isolationist perspective. Why shouldn't we just cut off all aid to both Israel and Arab countries?

And have nothing to do either way with any of them politically, militarily, or economically? Speaking solely from the American national interest, why can't we just cut off all aid to both Israel and Arab nations in that region and completely wash our hands of all involvement? What does any of this benefit America? Why are we trying to mediate a dispute between two sides that are obviously both lunatics? Why should we care? Please no BS about what God wants, I live in the real world.
