Is a bump in my underarm fatal?

A couple of days ago i felt a pain in my underarm. Now its kinda balooning up quite a bit. I am aware that there are lymph nodes in that area, but if its inflamation of throat or pharyngitis, it should be somewhere around my neck. But i got no infection at all, not thar im aware of. Especially not in my hands. I google it up and one possible cause is cancer, now thats nerve wracking. Could someone help me out here, i need some serious answers. Im afraid to see a doctor.
