What would cause my hyundai accent to randomly blow the ecu fuse?

I have a 2001 hyundai accent, and in the last month or so ive been having a lot of minor issues which eventually led up to a major issue. it all seems to be electrically based but that might seem to be the case because im an electrician and i can recognize the stupid problems that can arise from it. but the only problem that i have that i cant seem to find a solution to is that randomly the 20A ecu fuse blows and after that the car stops running, basically in 7 days of driving the car lightly i blew through 5 fuses. ive had it checked out twice and no on can give me an answer that doesnt involve trial by error part replacements. the last guy spent more than a reasonable amount of time checking just the wires alone which i think that if you grab a megohm meter you should be able to go one by one and figure out if a wires insulation is jacked, but what do i know. but anyway it would be great if i could get some suggestions of where i could start trying to do some trouble shooting on my own.
